What is Viber?
Viber is a free Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service. It is a downloadable messaging and video app used for individual and groups to interact. Viber is a multiplatform app that works on both mobile and computers. The application offers users the option to make local and international phone calls, create "community" chat groups, and talk to people all around the world.
How does Viber work?
Glad you asked! Viber requires new users to download the mobile or desktop app to get started. Users must enter their phone number and activate service by verifying a unique code via call or text to complete the setup. Once the account is set up, users can connect with others directly through their device's contacts or send email or text invites to connect to users. All users must set up a Viber account to participate in calls, messaging, and community groups.
Who can use Viber?
Anyone with a mobile device, tablet, or computer and 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi connection can use Viber. The service is absolutely free! A Viber community can host up to 250 members, and the number of groups created is unlimited. Viber groups can accommodate almost any class size and can include parents without limitations. The calling feature also allows calling directly from the group chat without direct access to phone numbers.
What is the purpose Viber?
Viber is used to connect people! Viber is a convenient service, allowing users to make calls and send messages. In addition to the calling and messaging option, Viber allows users to send video messages, texts, photos, stickers, and gifs at no charge.
